For these projects, we recommend KNX IQ with VISION visualization software and CTP04 as an extension. KNX IQ handles central KNX operation and visualization. CTP04 extends this basis in selected rooms or in places where intercom and fast room functions should be directly available.

VISION keeps operation understandable

VISION is the operation and visualization software for KNX IQ. It can be used on the panel and through the app in the local network; with DIVUS Cloud configured accordingly, remote access is also possible. This keeps the operating logic consistent across wall panel and mobile device.

We recommend VISION when a project should remain clear and easy to hand over. Rooms, functions and states are shown in a structured way. This helps end users and reduces explanation effort for the integrator.

Placing intercom in the operating logic

Intercom should not be planned as an isolated function. The important question is where users actually need call, conversation and door functions in daily use: centrally on KNX IQ, directly in selected rooms or in both places. This creates an operating structure that fits the building.

In planning, we therefore define the roles of the control points first. KNX IQ with VISION provides the central overview. CTP04 can make intercom and fast room functions available where a small direct control point is more useful than a large panel.

Use CTP04 where fast operation matters

DIVUS CTP04 is a compact 4-inch control point with two clear roles. It can work stand-alone as an indoor station for SIP-standard outdoor stations or act as a room client in KNX IQ/VISION projects. In this combination, CTP04 supports lighting, climate, scenes and intercom directly in the room.

This is useful in bedrooms, corridors, offices, practices, reception areas or secondary rooms. KNX IQ remains the central basis with VISION visualization software, while CTP04 makes selected functions quickly accessible.

Our planning recommendation

We start with the question of which functions should be central and which functions must be available directly in the room. Then we decide where KNX IQ, CTP04 and intercom should be placed. The result is not an overloaded interface, but a solution with clear tasks.

For a concrete project, we need a floor plan or room list, the required functions, the existing KNX structure, the planned or existing SIP outdoor station and the desired mobile operation. From there, the suitable combination of KNX IQ with VISION visualization software and CTP04 can be defined.
